Winter Bucket List

GettyImages-1198024001Don’t let the winter blues set in! There are plenty of things to do, even if your seasonal forecast leaves you craving a bit more warmth. We’ve compiled a small bucket list of ideas to help you to think outside the box and enjoy quality time with your family. Whether you’re staying in or bundling up to get some fresh air—there’s something for everyone:

  • Go ice skating at a local rink (outside or in)
  • Volunteer in January to honor Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 17)
  • Make a bird feeder
  • Bake cookies
  • Have a pajama day
  • Do a puzzle together (National Puzzle Day is January 29)
  • Try a new flavor of hot chocolate
  • Make a snowflake craft
  • Build a snow fort or a blanket fort
  • Play a board game together
  • Perform a random act of kindness
  • Build a snowman (or stay inside and craft one)
  • Have a snowball fight using real snow or crumpled paper
  • Make popcorn on January 19 (National Popcorn Day) and watch a movie
  • Join the 1000 Hours Outside movement and set some goals

Feeling inspired yet? We hope you make the most of winter by enjoying the little things with your family, no matter how you choose to spend your time! What winter traditions or activities would you add?
