Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! There’s something magical about a fresh layer of untouched snow. Don’t you just love the way it shimmers, leaving your view draped in a cozy, white “blanket.”
Children do a great job of reminding us how fun it can be to bundle up and traipse through the drifts, letting imagination and excitement lead the way. If Mother Nature isn’t cooperating with providing such a scenic winter forecast, we’ve got the perfect craft for you—to bring the outside in!
Print our free color page to build your own snowman (no need for snow pants!) and gather the following supplies to get started:
First, you’ll want to create your landscape. Use colored pencils or crayons to color the scene.
Now it’s time to give your snowman a 3D effect! Pull some cotton balls apart slightly to flatten them out a bit. Then glue them directly onto the three circles to bring your snowman to life, just like Frosty!
Use some of the supplies you’ve gathered to give your snowman some style. In our video, we used googly eyes, a ribbon for a scarf, and pipe cleaner pieces for arms. Get creative!
Finally, if you’re feeling brave, add a little glitter to make your snowman sparkle like the fresh snow.
